Configuring Pidgin to Join Room Yahoo Messenger

Pidgin can be used to chat on yahoo room, but to be used to enter the yahoo room  pidgin is a bit confusing, maybe because we don’t usually use Pidgin. For that I’ll try to share with you, how do I use pidgin to join in the room yahoo.

I use Pidgin 2.6.3 to discuss the current configuration, and this is the same as other versions of Pidgin.

How to use Pidgin to get into the room yahoo messenger:

Turn on your Pidgin through Program Files, then you will be treated to first display to enter your yahoo id, you can press Add to enter the yahoo id.

Then proceed with filling your yahoo id on the form Add the account. Because Pidgin supports Multi Messenger / can use a lot of id for a client and not just on Yahoo Messenger but it will be / support a lot of Messenger. But in this discussion we will only select specific for Yahoo messenger, like the image below.

If your Yahoo messenger Id is correct then you already are on yahoo,your  messenger id  would be like the picture below.
If your yahoo id is already active then you can proceed to configure your yahoo Room as shown below, by selecting:

Tools > Room List

then will appear the empty list room, which will not appear if you aren’t pressing the Get List therefore if you have entered in this section,  immediately press Get list so the room that you want will appear.

Once you hit Get List, it appears all room categories you want, if you want go into the room, for example in Yogyakarta Room 10, then you can press the sign [+] to the Regional > Indonesia > Indonesia > Indonesia 5 and continue by pressing Join.

Then  will appears Indonesia room 5, but before you get into this room Indonesia 5, you must pass first captcha verification. If the captcha does not load automatically, click the link captcha is to be displayed to your default browser.

If you’ve escaped Captcha Verification you will directly go into room yahoo, Indonesia 5 as you want as the picture below
